You need to remove the wheel and hub assembly. Kyle- while I applaud your effort to repack the bearings, this was an incorrect way of completing the job. Is that a safe way to think? I am waiting for that 3 year mark before repacking the bearings, but also feel the boat may be trailered more then the casual weekend owner thus an accelerated re-packing may be in order? As of right now I see no reason to repack the bearings, with their current temp and performance on long trips, would you agree? I repack Aircraft bearings quit often but that is due to our maintenance cyle on those, and the majority of those could probably last another 6 motnhs to a year, and they are not a sealed bearing set up. I fell comfortable with it for now until i see/feel something that should tell me different. All four hubs are still clean, with no evidence of grease loss, and they do not get “hot” to the touch, even after towing 300 miles. My reason for asking is I have probably around 9 thousand miles on the trailer since i bought in 2006. Question is how many miles would you suggest that those 3-4 years would cover. BCB- I know you recommend anywhere for 3-4 years from the factory with the re packing of the bearings on the trailer.
